We are so grateful for all our supporters

As a self-funded charity, we rely on grants and supporters to enable us to continue to educate. It is with huge thanks to these and many more benefactors that we are able to reach so many parents, children, teachers and safeguarding professionals

Celebrity Friend:
Charlie Brooks

Actress Charlie Brooks, most known for her role as Janine Butcher on Eastenders, is a long-time supporter of the Breck Foundation and our work.

Watch this video to hear Charlie explain our wonderful supporter programme - Breck Foundation Friends.

Our partners at CEOP (the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command) are the online police and are part of the UK's National Crime Agency.

If you suspect a child has been exploited or abused online you can make a report on their website and a child protection officer will get back to you ASAP.

The Charlotte Project is designed to give young people tools to help them navigate the maze of news, blogs, social media posts and comments so that they can work out what’s real and what isn’t and give them the confidence to engage in current events.

Lifelites Logo Lockup Master 300dpi.png

Lifelites is the only charity working with every children’s hospice service across the British Isles to enrich the lives of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and disabilities.

They work by donating the latest assistive and inclusive technology and help 10,000 children each year.

Harnessing the power of technology allows Lifelites to help these children to play, create and communicate. It gives them a chance to express themselves, to bring the outside world in and to live life as fully as possible.

Project funders

National Lottery Community Fund - Protecting young people from online grooming in Surrey and                                                                       London (2022)

BRECK.png

This project focuses on the delivery of school presentations to protect children and young people from online grooming and exploitation. The presentations follow a clear set of principles, including: awareness of risk, what grooming ‘looks like’, reporting to
a trusted adult, cross-checking the identity of strangers, keeping safe by not divulging personal information, and where to seek help.

So far, through this project we reached:

  • 2,125 primary pupils

  • 2,219 secondary pupils

  • 377 parents/safeguarding adults

Untitled design-19.png

SES Water and The Community Foundation for Surrey have kindly helped fund an Education Programme Coordinator role. This allows us to continue or work of visiting schools and delivering our 'Breck's story' presentation that teaches children, teachers and parents how to spot the signs of online grooming and how to avoid other online harms.
