Giving Tuesday – a time to spread a little love that will cost you (almost) nothing!

Did you know that there are several ways you can help the Breck Foundation raise money that will cost you almost nothing?

Amazon Smile This is Amazon’s ‘giving’ arm, which allows you to shop through Amazon but give a small donation (0.5%) to a charity each time you buy an eleigible product. If you’re already an Amazon customer it costs you nothing, but it can generate substantial amounts for charities. It’s easy to set up both on web and also on mobile. Once you’ve set it up once you never have to bother about it again, though it will give you the chance a couple of times a year to confirm that you want your donations to keep going to the same charities.

To set it up online go to https://smile.amazon.co.uk/

To set it up on your phone:

  • Open the Amazon app

  • Hit the three lines icon

  • Tap ‘Gifting and Charity’

  • Scroll down and pick Amazon Smile.

  • You can then follow the instructions to make Breck Foundation your chosen charity (please!).

Paypal If you go to your Paypal account you can set up a little ‘nudge’ that gives you the option to donate a £1 to us whenever you buy something using the service. You can set it up through your Paypal dashboard either on your mobile or online.

To set it up on your phone:

  • Open up PayPal

  • Scroll down to ‘Make an Impact’

  • Click ‘More Ways to Give’

  • Search for ‘The Breck Foundation’

Used Printer Cartridges We’ve certainly gone through a lot of these in lockdown. If you have a load of these to recycle, please follow this link in order to get a free postage sticker from Recycle4Charity that will directly benefit us. Make sure you check that your particular cartridges are ones that they can accept.

And of course, if you’re feeling generous there are our main giving avenues:

Easyfundraising.co.uk Support us when you shop online by choosing us as your charity. https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/thebreckfoundation/

Give as You Live You can earn money for your chosen charity while you shop online. https://www.giveasyoulive.com/

Topcashback Another site where you earn money back from online shopping – but did you know you can donate those earnings directly to charity? We are on there – just search for us and pick us as your favourites. https://www.topcashback.co.uk/tv/

And of course, if you’re feeling generous there are our main giving avenues:

Just Giving You can donate through our Just Giving page here. No matter how small your gift, we appreciate every penny. Don’t forget to Gift Aid it if you’re a UK tax payer. Could you be one of our hugely valued monthly givers?

Paypal You can give a larger donation directly to us here.
